Eli Lilly is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, and consistently ranked as one of the best companies in the world to work for, sustaining a culture that values excellence, integrity and respect for people.  Eli Lilly Australia, Sydney, has been upgrading all aspects of their workplace over recent years, and contracted Interpretive by Design to take an interpretive approach to signage and sense of place. Principles of interpretation were applied to create a striking and highly visible entrance, creating a sense of arrival, reflection of company, clear orientation and way finding.
Design involved close liaison with the project manager and architect, with inspiration taken from curves and flowing lines of the company logo, company values and existing structure. IxD has created a style guide which is referenced in signage being developed now and into the future.
